At the same time, highlighting the significance of prevention, Athens Medical Group offers the detection of SARS-COV-2 IgM, IgG or total antibodies.

For the molecular-based detection of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), our Group cooperates with Genotypos Science Labs, the first laboratory in Greece that was accredited by the National Accreditation Board for the Molecular Detection of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

The Athens Medical Group conducts Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) detection tests in a fast, affordable and reliable manner, with the PanBIO™ COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test system, by Abbott Hellas SA.

The rapid antigen detection is performed using the Abbott/Panbio Covid 19 Ag Immunochromatography method (Rapid Test).

The use of the rapid antigen tests is recommended to be done in conjunction with the rt-PCR molecular detection method, to increase the likelihood of a correct diagnosis.
